Linkswood Equine Vets is a fully mobile equine ambulatory veterinary practice with excellent clinic and in-patient facilities. Our aim is to respect and uphold our oath to veterinary medicine. As such, we are striving to combine traditional family values with modern veterinary excellence. We provide an approachable, friendly and good quality service to the local area.
Combining 25 years of veterinary nursing and over 13 years of equine veterinary services, we want to be the friendly voices on the end of the phone. We aim to provide an efficient service from booking your animal in to see us, to ordering medication, to seeing a nurse or vet.
At Linkswood Equine Vets we aim to build relationships with our clients based on mutual respect. We encourage discussion and want to be open to discussing your horse’s investigations, diagnosis and treatment. Our oath to the profession stands strong in our minds and we promise to provide you with excellence, compassion, integrity and friendliness at all levels of our service.
We work for you; and we are open, caring and holistic which means that communication with paraprofessionals is welcome. We take pride in our solid relationships with farriers, physiotherapists and other equine professionals. We respect horse owners for their experiences and we aim to strengthen relationships between the veterinary profession and our clients. We can combine visits with other professionals to optimize patient outcomes. We are also happy that we can offer referrals to a number of high quality referral hospitals with whom we enjoy excellent relationships.
We endeavour to personalise your horse’s care. As horse owners ourselves we understand that targeting specific needs of your horse comes first; but we also understand budget constraints and the need for clarity in treatment costs.
We genuinely care about providing a first class service to every horse we look after. We understand no two horses are the same so our approach is fully tailored to your own animal, budget and wishes.
Transparency in costs and services will be standard and we will keep you informed at all times We are happy to discuss and budget your horse’s care for the upcoming year and provide clear and honest evaluations of your horses needs and our treatment plans. We are also happy to provide written estimates prior to treatment commencing. We are also proud to have health plans available to help tailor and spread your horse’s care and associated costs across the year.
